Hello and welcome to TNet. Unfortunately, Missouri is not very good for prospecting. Some folks find glacially-deposited flour gold in rivers and streams north of the Missouri River, and especially in the Chariton River drainage. I do all my prospecting in my workshop with dirt I order online. Good luck!

What are you interested in hunting for? I usually hunt down in southern MO but there are a lot of places in the city too.
Blue/Gray Park in Lone Jack is good. Look online for civil war battles & conflicts in Independence, Lee's Summit & of course the historical cemeteries that came about due to battles being fought there. I've had lots of luck in those places as well as the neighborhoods along the Sante Fe Trail in KS & new road & subdivision construction. I'm not far from you at all.
