Primitiveone those are awsome looking points. That one in your avatar is nice with the light coming through it. Keep up the good work. Where do you get most of your rock? I have had to mail order some and found a little flint in my area. Thanks for sharing!!! Gravelwasher

Re: here are some I did

    Gravel,
I use mostly flint ridge material. I get it at the flint ridge knap-in on labor day weekend from a guy who owns land outside of the flint ridge national park and mines it with a excavator. For the past two years I have got a few five gallon buckets full and it last me most of the year. If I run out I can call him and schedule a pickup, but haven't needed to do that yet. I know of only two guys who have access to flintrige material on their landand have gotten it from both. Also I use beer bottle bottoms or any thick glass. I have also picked up flint at the bald eagle knap-in in Tyrone, PA. I have picked up some Carter Cave and various other rock there. It is in July I think. But the Flint Ridge Knap-in is second to none and well worth the trip.

That flintridge knap in sound great!! Wish I were closer. I have used mostly obsidian as it is what I learned with and is more plentiful in the nor cal area, although I do keep my eye out for any flint or chert. Thanks for the info much appreciated Primitiveone.

If you want to do a little trading send me a Private message-I always wanted to work with obsidian but haven't had the chance. We could swap pound for pound. Or rock for rock >>>------------------>
