I found a nice Crystal long ago on a gravel bar and decided to send it a knapper for a Fluted Clovis so here it is.

I went thru a few previous posts and understand some of you hate fakes and I almost completely understand because in last couple years was taken for over $150.00 on a few points so I may break out a hammer on a point sometime. Not this one though.

Met a different knapper while back and bought a point he made after paying for it he asked if I would like him to sign it so I picked a side and said sure. Got home went over the ink with liquid nail. Will try and get a pic of it on later.

Thanks Feline, like I told you in a pm I am honest. Honest most people may have decided not to have the point signed by the knapper who made it for whatever reason they might say but I think accepting the knappers offer of signing it says something.

Both of those are fine examples of craftmanship, I would be a proud owner too! And a good idea to use liquid nail to preserve the autograph! I assume that his autograph is a way of saying "modern knapped"? If so, another good idea.

Yep, I knew I said wrong stuff though. I meant hard as nails its like a clear fingernail polish. So hes a poplular knapper and points with names and dates lean more towards fakes (following me)
County, state and type is what one might see on authentic points out and about.
Point is I bought some points while back that were supposed to be authentic with a provence and all so I had one scoped and its supposidly modern and when I bought them there were stickers with what looked like initials and obvious dates of just a day or 2 apart and they are both g 9ish points and look same type so
Well I got another may post sooner or later.
