See, definately Old School education.
Were you able to date when the school was established Montana? Isn't that a hand crank car?
Your photos were treasure enough. Breath taking.

Yup... the town that used to be there was platted in 1910, and started building in 1911. The entire town was owned by one dude who ran everything - the merchantile, post office, grain silos, farm implement store... etc. He paid everyone who worked in those businesses and sold or rented every house in "his" town. Although the town was successful and flourished, swelling to a several hundred residents it folded in 1935, the last resident leaving in the late 1970s. There was always from three to 15 kids in the school. Only a few buildings stand today.

History is pretty new here... not many pioneers, and they didnt have two nickles to lose! It takes a little research and a lot of driving to find a good spot. Even now Montana has only less than 950,000 people! Thats only 6.3ish people per square mile! Let me know how your hunts go if you get to Bozeman.

My exploritory search today yielded some promising signals! Problem is I'm not to excited to get back there... I have too many other places that will produce more than the random find. If I go back I'll surely write about it though!

Those pictures are fantastic! What a great looking place. I love the old vehicles too. Is that guy in the first picture Bruce Willis?

Great post, I really like the Model T. My neighbor would really like that frame. He rebuilds Model T's. Thanks for posting those pictures of that Beautiful Site. What a great feeling walking in the past and no one around to bother you.
