Thanks for the post. I visit Montana a few times a yr to visit a son. I'll make it a point to look up these sites and do a little detecting.

I've driven to Maiden a dozen times... you can too - it's on most maps and accessible. It's really just an area now.

The area has not been touched much since that era... it's tempting too!

A guy I worked with 10 years ago was arrested for detecting very near there. Let me know if it works out for you!

There are also active working gold mines in the... they are very protective, you'll like the signs about death with skulls and such. LOL

It's a beautiful area in summer... it snows there about October through May, so plan accordingly. It's north of Lewistown.
