Moving to Missoula Mt Area

Im moving from the UP michigan, to MT are there areas for gold md-ing or panning around Missoula? Im a big float copper hunter here in mich and would LOVE to try for gold. Any hlp would be gr8!

I'm from Missoula too. There are lots of old mines around that you can find with a little research. There are also lots of low riverbeds worth checking out. Welcome to the area

i see this hasnt been posted on in a while,, any luck yet? they found quite a bit of gold in garnet, elk creek, superior, nine mile,, and lots in helena.these are some of the closer ones.
