I first watched this movie when I was 12. Since then, I have watched it at least three times every year. It has gotten me into metal detecting, Civil War genealogy, and the Civil War in general. Without a doubt, it is my favorite. Here are a few clips, and a sampling of some of the Best music you will ever hear.

The main title is an amazing piece of music. Turn it up. It'll give you chills.

First days fight.

Reynolds is killed.

Little Roundtop bayonet charge

I choke up every time I see this.

This was indeed a good movie. I have both Gettysburg and God's and Generals in my movie collection. I always thought it interesting that these movies were made in reverse order. It always seemed to me that Gods and Generals should have been made first, leading up to the Battle of Gettysburg. One of my favorite tunes from the soundtrack is Frog in the Well. A great tune.

I meant to add that I really like the way the Introduction was done in God's and Generals with the music and all the Southern States Flags were displayed gently flowing in the wind. This sends chills down my spine and overwhelms me with pride each time I watch it. A Great Tribute in my opinion.
