So young! I've just started and I'm 26, wish I done it earlier.

    History Hunter,

Congrats at cutting your teeth at 4!

1969 I was 14 and cut my teeth with a Relco Frontiersman!

Back in the day I paid about 120 bucks for it which was alot of $$$ back in 71..........

    Cheers to a good life!

My first one was a jetco mustang. Then I got a compass yukon 71b. ETC........ I was lucky, my Dad had a archery/Metal detector store. I still have all the MD I have obtained through out the years, except the mustang.

I have a Jetco "Mustang" metal detector that I paid about $75 for, back in the late 70's,it took 1 9volt battery and has 1 knob and a speaker, very light weight ,I found a 5 gallon metal bucket about a foot under the ground once.
