Beautiful country, how did you end up there?
And the reason we sent so many young men to die there.......now I graduated in 74, but like most boys in high school at the time, we spoke of what we were going to do about going to war.........for me, it was go to fight for my country. My year was the last to receive a lottery number based on birthdate......yet by the time I graduated the war was winding down and America pulling out...........pulling out except for the men left behind..........may the rest in peace, all.

Sure brings back some memories '65-'69 Inshore Fire Support we laid it to that area (well all up and down the coast) saddened me to see such a beautiful country endure such carnage. If I recall there is a Bay De Vung Tau near by where we would lay up for the night when the sea was turning up and we hadn't had a call for fire support.

What a shame and now seeing what appears to be such a prosperous Nation warms my heart. I was 18 when I went south really didnt know what it was all about. I think a lot of us were blind to what was happening politically, not by accident.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures I feel better now seeing something other than smoke and people running for their lives.
