I have this habit of giving a names to all my hobby equipment. I have a Meade 8" LX200GPS telescope that I have dubbed The Blue Max, and a smaller refractor that I have beefed-up the optics on, that I call Mighty Mouse.

My metal detecting equipment is no different! As you can see below, my Ace 350 is dubbed Iron Maiden and my ATX is aptly called Metallica.

I'd like to hear from other freaks like me who have also named their equipment.

I actually do the opposite, I tape off (blue painters tape) any markings that someone could later recollect pertaining to what kind of tools I am using. People rob liquor stores for $75

Well.. I met my girlfriend the same time I started MDing. I was spending more time with my md then her. After a couple of weeks she started calling my whites m6 "metal whore" hence the reason I call my md my "M6 Mistress"

To add to the story. She once said, if I glue a coin to my forehead would you spend more time with me? I hold her, make sure it's a silver one. Hehe

Since I haven't seen anyone mention theirs, I laughingly call my towel a " Prayer Rug " since I kneel on one end and place the dirt from the hole on the other end.
I am always " praying " for a good find too!

I learned years ago when i was dingbatting and my tools kept walking off that if i marked stuff up it didn't disappear.
