Well jeff lots get sold to the mid west, and I know the whole mexican prison system buys it as a cheap source of fish for there prisoners. It actually could be shipped anywher in the world. America is rich so we eat high quality fish but much of the world cannot afford 8-10 dollar a pound fish, but .50cents to a dollar a pound is affordable for most of them. So they export there high dollar fish to us, and we send them our shark as affordable fish to feed the masses. And then the rich Chinese billionaires buy our shark fins for 30-50$ a pound. Im sure our middle man marks them up from 60-100$ a pound. Lots of money gets trown around for these sharks.......hard to believe but its true.
