66 years old. Too young to go. I wonder what's going to happen with their tour now?

I guess that is all she wrote for any Monkee reunion.. I don't see Mike Nesmith ever returning to the fold and they really had some interesting songs and sounds for their time.

bluehunter1973 I grew up watching that show and loved it.. I can remember waiting for them to play the 2 songs they did in every episode. They did have good music that fit the times. As much as it wasn't cool to really like them, I always did... To me, good music, is good music, so long as you enjoyed it. There are very people here that don't know and like at least 2-3 of their songs too I bet. :laughing7:

Told ya the Monkees were cool. Spart, the greatest thing you ever said, the quote that spans the ages and bridges all generation gaps is as follows: 'GOOD MUSIC IS GOOD MUSIC, SO LONG AS YOU ENJOYED IT.' That says it all and explains that Enya thing too.

I wish I lived in Snyder County PA

unless there is another church on Orange,
I Believe this is the church he owned.

beavertown.jpg

Location: Orange and Walnut Streets, Beavertown
Municipality: borough of Beavertown
County: Snyder
State: PA

The United Brethren organized a class and erected a building in Beavertown in 1865, but for some reason the congregation did not endure. The building was purchased July 19, 1872, by members of the Evangelical Association ― which included some of the former United Brethren. The original structure was moved back, and a tower and Sunday School room added, in 1897

I'd be trying to find out who gets it

Grew up watching the Monkeys on T.V. and same as you Spart I always looked forward to the songs. In spite of all the naysayers and people who referred to them as "The prefab four" they put out a lot of great music.

I saw them in concert about 25 years ago but unfortunately Mike Nesmith was not with them.

What is most funny, and sad at the same time is Sirus radio having been playing a ton of their works all throughout the weekend. They did have a huge number of hits to say the least. Maybe now through all the airplay they will gain another new audience.

Whether they had played their instruments, or not, they do belong in the Music Hall of Fame :headbang:
