My emotions are bittersweet when I hear music from bands of the mid to late 60's,Seeing them really enjoying their music in an innocent and naive kind of way....then when the song ends my realization that music and musicians will never be like that again!!

Trivia note: Angus Youngs older brother George played lead guitar for the Easybeats.

I think that is the reason rock and roll music exploded in 1964....people had enough of doo-wop and the time was ripe for a change.

Possibly but who's to say ? Not my favorite take on this song but although
Clapton has more than proven himself as a legend, look at Ginger Baker,
on drums. As the driving force, a drummer sets the pace & challenges the
band. 'Baker' proves why the drummer's seat is called 'the Throne'.

Who would have thought that Eric with a strong rock/blues background would team up with 2 jazz/blues musicians. This what what made their music 'magic' a perfect blend of rhythm and sound. Eric is a master of the blues with no doubt, now add the vocals and bass of Jack Bruce. Jack is also one of the first base players I have ever seen, that actually played chords and had bass runs to envy and lead guitarist.

Baker, ahh, my man.. The true king of the throne... Baker is a great jazz drummer and by infusing those beats into the songs made the group what they were. You will also notice that Ginger never even tried to showboat during his career, just powerful and driving rhythm.

The only other great drummer that got no attention was Mitch Mitchell, he was also one of the greats.

I couldn't find one of Mitch playing, but this guy had Mitch's technique down pat.
