I wasn't Surprised to see Heart at the top of this list.
But I lost my
taste for Heart Early.

Pat was surprisingly Good in concert. my seat was up front,
and she is So tiny looking in Person :laughing7:

I pretty much hate her hits like hit me with, & battlefield ... too Bubblegum
but she does rock on stage.

Stevie Nicks was better Live then expected also.

Although she was Old Rock & did simple stuff...
I still like listening to Joan Jett
in the Runaways (not with the Blackhearts.)

I never seen Heart.

I would have at the Beginning if they would have come this way.

I was a big fan with their first stuff But Dog and Butterfly was their downfall in my ears.

this was good

the best way I can say it is Grace was sort of an Alien.
She seemed to get Younger at time went on.

at 75 Now & practically Bald she's lost her looks of course.

but no idea if she can sing yet

Interesting; in my generation of R and R, none of those featured above had yet been born.
Don.....

LOL Don, How can that Be ? Grace was born in '39.

R&R was born about 10 Years After

which reminds me & takes me Off topic :(

Jeff,
My bad, don't recall seeing Grace's image in this thread--but I do relate closely to that DOB. And though some suggest the R and R began in the 40s, I relate it became R and R by name, in the early 50s. I think Alan Freed coined the phase in Cleveland on his radio show.
Don.....

yea I always thought the 50's was the Beginning of R&R Also

I would have the beginnings with Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis or Little Richard
(I didn't Check their Bios to see who was first on the scene before Posting this Response :dontknow: ) I do Like Jerry Lee Lewis, & Little Richard

But When I googled the Beginnings of R&R I found it was said to be late 40's for it's Beginnings.

the Alan Freed thing is beyond my Education

"In any event, Freed’s show was also the principle reason why Cleveland was chosen for the location of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the 1980s. When deciding between cities, the selection board chose Cleveland owing to Freed having played a significant role in popularizing rock and roll music and the branding the style of music “rock and roll”, though he didn’t coin the term itself." I agree; the music called Rock and Roll existed in the 40s, but, as the above quote mentions, it was Freed who 'branded' the name and the style.
