CREAM was the genesis band for Eric Clapton, and a huge
influence on every other band for years after they quit
playing together.



OV, I still embrace all of this music...8-)

I listen to "oldies" 99% of the time. Love the music, still know all
the words, and I'm too deaf to be able to understand the words in anything
new.

The Golden Era, 1965-1975. Still the best.

Clapton once said about Cream, "We wanted to shock and confuse everyone." That's what happened when two jazz musicians and a blues guy decided to play rock and roll.

There was a lot of tension in this band . They really didn't get along. Some legendary fights on stage. But because of the tension, some cool music resulted.

Where is all the smoke, lasers, sparks, flaming shooting erupting fountains with holographic images?

Oh wait- this was when music was an internal head rush augmented by natural substances of the earth.

Yeah, I vaguely remember some of it...
