One of my favorite bands through the 70s, 80s & 90s... I feel fortunate to have grown up during the Rock N Roll era. :headbang:

...my favorite is the late 60’s black magic woman.. Here, whenever the albums get broken out and played it’s one of the first on the list..

The first stereo I bought in 1976 had an 8-track set up.
In 1982, I was devastated when the music companies stopped shipping 8-tracks to their retailers and the car makers removed the 8-track stereo from new car models.
The compact cassette is the main reason why 8-tracks were faded out from the electronics industry.

Nice to know I'm not the only 'old dude' on here Jeff. :laughing7:

I tried to amass as many Cassettes but never made it, gave up when my Cassettes starting getting ate

Actually the Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (original name of the band) song was "I loved Another Woman". Carlos Santana stole the music and wrote "Black Magic Woman" to Peter Green's melody. Somewhere in the pile I have the first British release album of Peter Green's Fleetwod Mac. I actually preferred the more raw blues of the original band than the Stevie Nicks pop music version although the latter does have it's place.

I hear you Jeff, when I found out 8 tracks were discontinued, I decided then and there that I'd never buy a cassette tape. :laughing7:
Instead I went out and bought a top-of-the-line Rega Turntable, some large Bose Speakers and a Harman Kardon Receiver.
If I remember correctly the whole set-up cost me $3,000. In 1983, I was 19 and only making $7.50 and hour, so that was a lot of money for me.
By 1989, I had over 200 LP's, it was at this time the music companies stopped releasing new music on vinyl LP's and started making plastic CD's.
I now own close to 400CD's... I wonder what's going to be next? :icon_scratch:
