You'll need the big DD coil for depth as I find most parks the old silver left is really deep and the 6X9DD coil won't get great depth,it will separate better if your looking for newer drops like jewelry. I like finding the real old deep targets myself and usually use the D2 coil most of the time. HH

I was also looking at a used MXT myself. More of a Tesoro or First Texas user but my dad always loved his whites. I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Looks like a pretty simple machine to operate

Simple but very capable with awesome depth, I like changing setting on the fly so I'm not wasting time going through a menu to make changes. HH

The MXT is a great machine. I will be buying another one as soon as I can afford it because they just work !!! I recently traded my MX Sport for a Quest Pro and I am very happy with it but I want to always keep a good Whites machine in the stable.

The MXT is a single tone machine
    The Pro adds tone ID
The All Pro is basically a MXT Pro with the D2 coil standard
