2005 Totals : 62 Silver Coins This Year

Hi all, Was looking through some coins today to see how much I have found in 05 so far. I only posted the silver coins. Not including rings war nickles and other silver items I have found this year. There is a total of 46 silver coins this year so far. I am well over 50 peices with rings and artifacts. It's been a good silver year for me so far. I have been limited this year to hunting also.

Hope to get out more once baseball is over and fall time comes. I have some area's I want to search when everything dies down.

Hope you like them figured I'd share since I had them out. Will try and get picks of all the other coins found this year that aren't silver.

Thanks everyone. I am going to update this post later in the year. At the end of December I will add the rest of the silver coins. It's been a good year but I could have done better. I know there are people out there that say man 46 silvers in one year and he's complaining. Well I'm just one of those people that pushes myself to excel. It's not like me to be busy to where I haven't had time to hunt alot in the last 3 month's. It sucks because I love treasure hunting.

I like to stride for these record breaking years. Because I will put alot on myself to out do it next year. I might have been able to find 75 silver coins this year if I was hunting hard. That's alot of silver nowadays. Then I would continue to try and reach those numbers every year.

I'm still very happy and grateful of the success I have had so far in the hobby. I like to be the best at what I do like everyone. It bothers me at times when I can't hunt over a weekend. I don't like to let any treasure get away. I'm only here for so long and if I want to build a treasure collection of my dreams I'll have to be hitting it hard for the next 30yrs.

i ve set a goal for my self of 50 rings for this year gold silver etc so i know what yo mean by trying to excell! at i think 15/ 5 gold to date the rest silver,one honker pendant(silver)one nice bracelet with a large amethyst stone so im on my way there!

Hey everyone, Updated the silver since the year is coming to a end. There are 12 more coins for a total of 58 on the year so far. It was a good year for old silver. Everyone was tough to find and they just keep getting harder. If I find anymore I'll update again. The weather is still o.k in p.a as of right now.

Here are a few more dimes. Don't how much more I'll get out here in December. Temps are in the teens and don't know if I feal like fighting it. Supposed to be 35 Saturday. I'll go out in 35.

Needless to say, those are some beautiful finds.
Would you mind sharing to us all just how you cleaned them up to look like new??
I seem to have a great amount of difficulty in that area.

Look for a balance: set the goals but keep the fun in the hunt.

Thanks for the replies. I get slow here in the winter time not being active hunting. I find myself catching up with things I didn't do while I was out hunting all the time.

If you want to clean your silver here's the key. Take it from me this stuff is great. Go to walmart or the local autozone and get a can of mother's mag and aluminum polish safe for all metals. It's in a red and white can. Comes in a big or small can.

Take a small dab of it with your fingers and rub it on the coin. It will turn black instantly. Let sit for a few minutes and buff of with a real soft cloth. It will gleam like it just came out of the mint. Sample it on other stuff you'll be amazed what it can do.

Hope this helps someone out. I've tried alot of things and nothing beats this.
