HOLY SMOKE!!
Fantastic find and research as well!!!
As I write this, I am sitting here at work listening to the theme music from the movie National Treasure....
Needless to say, it is a fitting soundtrack to read that story by!
Great work! I am blown away!
I will wish you "Happy Hunting" though it is quite obvious you have already had some!

The find is cool enough but the history behind it is just as amazing!
Thanks for posting this. Just as enjoyable for me to read as it was for you to find lol!

Re: Colonial Shoe Buckle and MINI Portrait....
J.D., I never have forgotten this post. I think it was one of the very first post I read on Treasure Net! It's still one of the best if not the best thing I have seen on this site! Truly a piece of our history that has a very cool story to go along with it. I hope you are taking good care of it so it will be around for others to enjoy for years to come. Congrats again Bud, that's a find of a life time. Rob

What a study, what a history.... I would imagine these artifacts to be worth a fair amount of money. You have gone to great lengths to study this subject.... Well done
Look forward to hear more things like this from you.
God bless
