All My Half Cents 13 Total **Make that 14 now**

I posted over in Today's Find a while back that I was doing a inventory of all my coins and putting them in new safety flips. I asked if I should post them as I did this and received a lot of "yes' responses soo here we go.

These are all my Half Cents some better then others but still one of my favorite coppers to dig!

How long did it take you to find all 13 ??

Well, I have been a on again off again digger since I was 22.. so about 20 years.. but there were times were I only went a few time a year with my Dad or a buddy.. and times I went 3 out of 4 weekends.. plus I've lucked into some good sites and live in an area that has a lot of old homes. Heck, the "newest" house in my Town is pre1900.. with most of them being late 1700s through early 1800s. It's all luck!! No matter what machine.. what coil..or how long you have been digging.. if that coil does not pass over the item in just the right way.. you won't find it!! ;-) Well.. that's what I tell myslef on days when I don't dig anything!!

Thanks!! I'm concerned about cleaning it anymore... and losing some of the detail.. which is why it still has crusty sections on it...

I only found one, an 1809. It was eaten away from 200 years of fertilizer, but still one of my favorite finds.

I hope to have 13 to show some day.

Hi My Fellow TH'ers
I think that those are the nicest looking coins! I just found my found my first Half Cent last Saturday it was an 1808 (possible 1808 over 7). I hope the image is not too dark to make out the details.
