1917 S Standing Liberty Quarter
After reading about the last SLQ and reading the repspopnses, I deceide to check the 1917 SLQ I found years ago in a park in Wyoming. I now discover that what I thought wqas a type 2 is actually a type 1, as it does not have the stars under the eagle. I then noticed the "S" mint mark on the front as well. I am thinking I may have a reasonably valuable coin on my hands as it is in great condition. Thanks Kip...

Congratulations on your find first of all, now for the bad news... I wouldn't call it a great condition, I would say VG-8 and worth about 40-45

Kipper,
Nice coin! I would hold onto that.......... theY're hard to find especially in the nice condition you have. I found a 1921 in AU about 20 years ago and sold it for a fraction of what it's worth today. If I hadn't sold, I wouldn't sell it today even at todays prices. I would make my avatar. Standing Libertys are great coins. Hold onto it. You'll be glad you did down the road.

Those slqs give me an instant electric jolt when I find em, more so than barber stuff, just something about them. Nice find.
