Two pendants and X's

The two pendants were found on an island on coastal Maine. These must date back to the 1700's as I found in the ruins in a small dirt fort. How poignant that these people were so far away isolated in the wilderness. The King George coin I found in a schoolyard in Massachusetts. I presume that the X's were made on the image of the king circa the Revolutionary War.
