I am new to Treasure Net so I figured that one of my first posts should be of my best coin find. This one was found about a year ago at an old colonial style house. It was my second Two Cent of the year! The first one was in pretty bad shape, but this one looks like it was made yesterday.
Welcome to TNet, great to have you join us... That is a very nice find!!! After about 33 years or so I am still waiting to find one of those. Not very many of them in my neck of the woods.
Not been hunting long....and found that old of a coin in that condition.....you are doing a-ok.
I'm posting the middle of July.....what else have you found? Keep us informed.
Can't find it if you're watching tv at home, your machine isn't on, and the head of your detector is pointed up!!
piece of eight, really nice to find one in that condition! I don't know whether it is the composition alloy itself (such as the case with the turban head lc's which are almost always beat unless you're lucky) , or whether it's the especially fine line relief which seems to be a magnet for corrosion, but virtually every one of these I've found takes a hit in the shield area. The ground has definately been kinder to this one! Wonderful find!
