I was sitting and thinking last weekend about all the different "stuff" I have found over the years. A lot of it has just been in various boxes by category. The coins are kept in a nice "auction find" safe from an old jewlery store. I decided to get some of it out and reminisce a bit. I am sure many of you have even far more than this, but it was fun to dig it out (again) and go through it.

I have decided to make some display cases this winter and hang it in my "man room". lol

There are Matchbox toys, Tootsie toys, old pocket watch parts, pocket knives, lots of crotal bells, toy gun parts, a real gun, axe heads, tons of wheaties, some indians, some mercs, some silver quarters, some silver halves, some silver dollars, etc.

I will show a close-up of my oldest coin to date.......an 1823 Liberty half.

Enjoy the tour!

Tim

A great bunch of finds. I, too, have the boxes full of stuff. Keep threatening to put them under glass, but so far, you are
way ahead of me in that catagory.
Keep the head swinging.....still more to be found.

Tank,
That, actually is what got me into this mess! lol I built a log house along the "great trail" near Minerva, Ohio in 1988. The history of the trail is that the first settlers in ohio traveled west on that trail. It eventually led from fort Pitt to fort lawrence in Bolivar, Ohio. I got my first detector for that reason. 10 minutes after UPS delivered my detector, I found that gun in the woods. It has been all down hill since then! lol

OH, wait Tank.........I just looked at the pics I posted. The gun YOU are seeing is a toy gun. But.....look closely inside the top of the glass case in one of the pics and you can just see the gun I was talking about.

Thanks everybody. I wish it was still as easy to get the silver as it used to be, but oh well.....I love a challange.
