    cleaning some of my old coins .......and this date poped out

    this large cent finally gave me a date ................1799......I'm so happy . ...and now if i can hold the coin to the light i can read the date by eye .....the back is so much better

    I can't really see the date in the pic but if that is indeed a 1799, you've got a nice one on your hands. Rare date!!!
