Rev War Buttons
Some of what I've found the last ten years.
Royal Provincials, Volunteers of Ireland (2nd American Regiment), New York Volunteers (3rd American Regiment) King's American Regiment (4th American Regiment), 21st Regiment of Foot (Royal North British Fuzileers), 42nd Regiment of Foot (Royal Highland Regiment - Black Watch), 54th Regiment of Foot, 71st Regiment of Foot (Fraser's Highlanders), 84th Regiment of Foot (Royal Highland Emigrants)

Nice purple carpet...uh...Rev War buttons, IP. I will never forget that "banner" button of yours.
It looks like a lot of Americans settled in your area of Canada after the war.

Loyalists, but I'm in CT.

That is what I thought. I know of one settler, in my area, who fled to Canada during the war. When he came back to this specific PA county, the local settlers always referred to him as "The Tory B___". Were your Loyalist settlers ever brave enough to head back to the US after the war?

Hell no, they were loyal to Georgie and wanted no part of America.

Old and interesting but unfortunately not one I can help you with. Have you ever tried to match the crown to various early military?

Looks like a Thistle on the right side, probably had one on the missing piece as well.
Its not a Crown I particularly reconise as British & a button I have never seen. However, the Thistle could lead you down the Scottish route for further info. Any early Scottish Regiments in the area?
