    Very nice Medieval belt/book mount.

    Has been identified as 12TH to 13th Century and depicts a lion

    possibly a belt or book mount

    measures 27 x 27 mm and some gilding remains

    I love the Medieval Artistry, very nice piece, I've yet to get one as nice as that but look forward to trying

    Thanks for the comments guys....it has been suggested that it represents the lion

    associated with St Mark...

    I did make one basic mistake though lol there was a bit more gilding evident until

    i rubbed it between my fingers doh!!!
