Here's my one and only. Found in Tazewell County in Southwest Virginia. Found it on a small rise in the middle of nowhere in a field 4-22-09. Lots of other flat buttons and odds and ends came from here. I think it was a very early hunting camp of some sort on the frontier here during the 1700's. Not a house site, because there was not enough larger iron typical with dwellings. I had no idea it was a George Washington button as it was still covered in dirt and riding down the road I joked with my brother about the five or six "dandy" buttons I found if they were all GW buttons. Got home and washed this one off last and felt like Christmas morning as a kid when I saw the chicken eagle. Sure would like to dig another, but I NEVER dreamed I would find even one in my part of the country.
