Show me your best condition old find/s! I don't care what it is!

Here's a thread where everyone can play. Not like those inconsiderate GW guys.

Either great condition or really good for the age. Post em up!

The gilt crown button is local militia and dates about CW period.

The plain button is French Marines and dates about 1730s-1750s. Usually these have edge loss and no shank. This one is unusually slick as well.

Wow you guys have found some cool stuff!
I found the button on Gen Kerny's trail, AZ. And the Trade items in Montana on a Sapphire trip.
Still don't know what the button is? ?

Thanks,Arid
Your button dates from 1859-1863.

I see where "Thrillathahunt" posted one of his "best condition finds" as a real nice Barber Dime so I thought I would post a Barber Dime also.... I found this dime about two years ago. After being in the ground for what could be nearly 100 years it is in remarkable condition.

I guess those silvers keep well in the Idaho ground. Here is the best I've found as far as condition goes. Found 8/09 and is uncleaned.

Here's a cast pewter CS button I found a while back.
Most don't look like this when dug.

The Phoenix Button. Made in the 1820's in Haiti and traded all the way to New England!

That is unusual find for your area. Most of them are dug in the Columbia River Basin in the Pacific Northwest!
