Hope yall dont mind but there was a runner up for that head badge, so i had to add this one. This is a newspaper printing plate that was a little more exciting due to the context. This was made by John wannamaker, the famous Philadelphia merchant who was a true innovator to the art of the sale. He had many "firsts" in his department store legacy and can be read about through a Google search. Our great member Bramblefind tracked down several U.S. newspapers from 1887 that had this same plate printed in advertisements.Anyways, I think it is a cool piece for all the above reasons.I still need to check my local papers from that year to see if I can't match the paper with the plate....that would be even cooler. 20180821_220714.jpg

Definitely not super old or valuable, but this .925 silver ring is by far one of my favorite finds...added that I dug it at the house where my wife grew up. We were in the area reminiscing, saw the owners outside and stopped to chat. They gave me full permission, and I almost didn't go after it, as it was just a few inches from the sandstone curb and ringing up pretty high, and I thought the signal was from the cast iron drainpipe that emptied into the street. Initially I didn't even know it was a ring, I'd never seen one like this. This is about the only find that the wife laid claim to, as it fits too! Thx for looking, Ddf.

For me it’s the Luckenbooth brooch. I love the look of these and the story behind them ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1535792553.206924.jpg
