What do you consider your absolute BEST relic find ever?

I don't come across too much REALLY old stuff here in central Texas, but I did come across this. It is an early Spanish brass bridle rosette, short cross decorated and all!

Let's see what you consider your BEST relic find.

The badge in my avatar. It belonged to a member of the 4th Mass. Heavy Artillery who died at Andersonville prison! I found it about six months ago.

Probably this Rev War button. At the time (Apr., 2001) it had everything going for it.... Condition, rarity, value and a huge rush it gave me seeing it shine in the sun and realizing what I had. It was even a little more sweet having been my 3rd time trying to find the site. I am very glad I did not give up!

I got a rather odd cool 1702 era english engraved cuff link found at a site where british troops in 1702 headed for st augustine stopped locally and burnt a few spanish missions and allied indain villages near amelia island , fla ---got some spanish / indian trade beads there too.

being the area --the stuff was found at was recent paved into a county park fishing peir parking lot , I feel proud that I "saved" this lil bit of history from "progress".

I could also use this advice.... You really should clean and seal that to preserve it, otherwise it will end up in pieces.

I have not found my best find yet.
Det vi vet er så uendelig lite mot det som har hendt. Arkeologen er som den som går langs en strand og finner småtterier, skyllet i land fra et forsvunnet skib. Men selve skibet som gikk i dypet med menneskene får han aldri se.

This cross trefoil with a rose in the center is that of the Rosicrucians and people are very influential in the development of the current EU, predate the Masonry which was founded by them and devote all his life to studying ancient cultures especially Egyptian, I show some similar cross.

Re: What do you consider your absolute BEST relic find ever?

Some may be surprised by this but based on rarity for this side of the pond, this is my favorite relic. Dates from 1550-1650 so right back to the very fabric of this country.
