I was just enjoying a bowl of strawberry frosted mini wheats and viewing your thread. That cereal was too dang good to respond until after I had scarfed it down. Dang, dude, that stuff is Colonial as you can Colonially get. My eye caught that complete shoe buckle and with a mouthful I said, "I want one."
It is good to see you have your mind on detecting again. Iron bros. vs. PA bros. is back on!

The one with the rays (bottom right) was first issued in 1787. The one with the chain is Rev War era, and the others I think probably 1790s. A military button that large doesn't turn up often, and the only other I've seen that big was an Artillery from the same period.
