Update#2.. It's not gold......Crazy! Diamonds In The Rough.

I decided to get the ring repaired for my wife and upon fixing it the jeweler finds out it is not even gold. It's PLATINUM! Just over 2 carats total diamond weight.

Repaired on on my wife's finger.

I count 13 stones, not 12. Hmmmmmm, I think that must mean good luck :o Super find. Looks similar to one that was passed down from my great grandmother, only your stones look larger..... My granddaughter says she doesn't need a metal detector, she finds good stuff with her eyes. (after she found a plastic bracelet next to the sidewalk) Looks like you did a pretty good job of doing that yourself. HH Ralph

That's a nice find!

Looks like it has some age to it, I would spend a few bucks and get it restored, should be well worth it, especially considering how much you have into it now :laughing7:

Congrats Stitchlips

That is one heck of an eyeball find! WOW!! :icon_thumright:

I truly think that you being a metal detector, your training gives your eyes the ability to notice objects on the ground that others will merely glance over. I know that since I have started metal detecting my eyeball finds have increased dramatically.

Great find!

That is a really beautiful ring - even smashed as it is. Those look to be European cut diamonds given how they are set. I really love that style - looks very vintage.

Good eye, I was told that they were European cut by the jeweler!
