    Post your best eyeballed relic

    Mine would be this GAR medal that I found in a dump area behind the baseball field when I was a teenager. I was cutting through it on my way to the ballfield and saw it lying right on top among the coal ash and broken glass. It is in remarkable shape

    Hi Hispan,

    This is a GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) medal from one of the Pennsylvania Encampments. The GAR was an organization of Union veterans of the American Civil War. Here is a link with more on the GAR.

    I remember one time I was hunting for about 2 hours for CW stuff with no luck. On my way back to the car I found a droped CS bullet on road bed.
