I used to make caps crowns and bridges for dentists, and you can actually tell a lot by the dentures you have (although I have had less experience with dentures). First off, since they contain gold they are old.... Newer dentures don't contain gold, and the construction of those dentures suggests they were made quite a while back. I have seen old dentures made with 24 kt gold.......and to say the least it looks like you have a full set (1/2 oz t.w. or more). I would say they look to be from the 20's/30's in age, but they could be older...

O.K., that gold is fun but I'm really convinced we need a Worst Finds section on this forum, it would be an interesting place. And I have to wonder how the heck the old bugger lost that set of chompers?

If I'm not mistaken....those are made of rubber. You can tell by the dark brownish-red material they're made of. I'm not sure when dentists started using the material that they make dentures today with...but way back they used rubber. And I've seen some websites where people actually collect these! Good find!

Strange find to say the least. Like it was said in an earlier post "at least you did not find a body attached to them", now that would have been creepy.

Yea, kinda creepy, when do you think he noticed he lost em'?
Pirates and Banditos would dig those out of your head. But, gold is gold...

Keep safe...

i dunno which is worse, this or the diamond tooth grill that was found a few months ago. Both are nasty.
