My best find I never made

One day while in Southern Illinois at my wife's sisters house my dog needed to be let out so I obliged, a short time later he came back in and came straight to me and dropped this knife at my feet. It did not belong to my brother in law or his family and he had never seen it before. So I asked my nephew if he had seen where my dog had come from and he pointed to a wooded area adjacent to their property. So I gave my pup a treat and let her run free the rest of the day there. She didn't manage to return with anymore treasure, but she had done ok for an amateur!
