    HEARTBREAKERS.......

    I want to post some pictures of artifacts, that had they been whole, would have been outstanding indeed. Unfortunately, they were found not fully intact. We've all been there. The ol' Heartbreak Hotel. Still, not whole or whatever, they definitely are neat to look at, admire and wonder "what might have been". The first one here is a broken Clovis point, found in Yellow Creek, Tishomingo Co. Mississippi. This is 1 of 2 Clovis pieces that I have found in 10+ years of hunting. That tells you how rare it is to find any Paleo piece lying around. It is made from what looks to be a Hornestone type of material, which is not common in our area. This material is more abundant in Kentucky. Could it be that the original owner traveled to these parts from there? Who knows. Some things will never be answered. Therein lies the beauty....
