    Those "soldier boys" sure enjoyed fishin' in all the creeks and rivers! 8)

    We note that chess, checkers, and playing poker were favorite pastimes as well.

    That is a phenomenal collection! Here's a perfect pyramid carved out of a .69 cal. round ball. Dug at a picket post in Kentucky.

    Any idea what the holed large pieces are? Loom weights? Net weights? Something else?

    Thanks Buckle Boy. You must be the only one that understands that they come out of the ground ONE at a time!

    The holed pieces are soldier made fishing weights. Being on the coast made fishing a popular past time for the soldiers.
