ive been detecting in a remote area known to have japanese presence in ww2. i got lots of broken metals. its scattered in a raduis of 25 meters from a very old mango tree.

i thought this one is just like those hundreds of metal pieces i got until i cleaned it out with chemicals.

it turn out to be a real beauty....

At the top of the handle, where it looks like the top of a heart shape, it's a bit similar to the WW I mess kit utensils:

Most of the mess kits were stamped with a date, etc. Yours does have writing on the handle but it's unreadable for me...except for the "P" (where the top part meets the middle part of the handle).
