Sure is. My dad recently sold one in worse shape. He had 3 IH coins in his safe. Went thru em. 2 were in great condition. One was worn and had a gouge thru the date... Looked in his coin value guide magazine from 2004. Forgot what other 2 IH dates were, but one with gouge looked like either 1857 or 1877. Magazine showed that they werent made in 1857. Boom 1877. Told my dad gd condition listed it for $500. This coin was not in gd condition but hey he still got $160 for it from a coin dealer. 1 cent to 160 bucks, not to shabby

nice - send it out to be handled professionally
I found one when I was a kid - mine was in a fire
the back of mine was in good shape but all you could make out on the face was the date
I gave it to a guy for a filler in his collection
