Today's find, a SWEET trade off!

My grandfather in law asked me if I had found any 1934 wheat pennies on any of my adventures. I told him that I indeed had found a few. That date is special to him and he asked if I could give him two for in his loafers. With all he's done for me I told him absolutely. He handed me a small paper bag and said this was my "trade" and that he wasn't going to take the pennies without me taking the "bag". Well I got home and WOW, check out what was in the bag! This man is simply amazing and continues to sweeten my coin collection, thanks Pop!
21 silver washington quarters
1 barber quarter
1 v nickel
2 indian head pennies
4 wheat pennies
1 large cent
1 seated dime
1 3cent silver nickel
4 war nickels
3 buffalo nickels
3 mercury dimes
and a new dollar coin, lol, not sure why/how that got in there!

WOW!

That's a great gesture. He is a kind man.

That large cent looks to be in great shape. Can you post a picture of it close up please?

better pics of the Large Cent! Front seems to have a sticky scotch tape residue on it. I'll be cleaning that off!

Yuppers, you made out like a bandit. Your story reminds me of my Grandaddy, may he rest in peace. My, my, how I miss him.

Amen to that Gary.

Wonder if he'd take 4 wheat pennies for his 1878 Morgan dollar collection! :laughing9: He has all three of the tail feather varieties, and all the mint marks, CC included in uncirculated condition!

Re: Today's find, a SWEET trade off!

Ask him how many pair of shoes he'd like to put some penny's in.

Then hand him so many he'll be 4 inches taller in all of them... :laughing9:
