You are having a great year, Dawg. I know you will be digging early SJ sites this Fall. Cufflinks, shoe buckle frames, and many coppers will be dug in style. Thanks for sharing your 2011 finds.

Nice pics. I actually know where some of these places are as I recently purchased a Ford van down in that area and I was salivating at the thought of detecting around those particular towns. Nice digs!

Thanks jerseypicked A lot of NJ West Coast towns were the providers of a Colonial Philly favorite oysters you will find oyster shells on almost every dig site in NJ and Pa . Most , if not all ,were from the Delaware Bay . Economy thrived in these port towns . Some of the homes I pictured were built for Captains .None are shacks The shellfish men were paid well , and with any luck we'll find some of these lost coins and relics from these ol' shellfishing boys . dawg

I knew I had a photo of that one house in my files, just found it tonight, think the color shows a tad bit better. YIKES! If it is not the same one, at least we have another oldie on your post, sign says 1810.

For undug coins this is true. For dug coins this is untrue.
The value will increase with judicious cleaning."
