    Crazy!!! Ancient Plant?????

    I found this in Louisiana.........Has anyone ever seen anything like it, or know anyone who can help me classify it? Please.

    Being "globular" like that it could also be some sort of crystalline structure, most petrified corals I have seen have a larger structure to them.
    I noticed that no-one really utilizes all the signature space provided, so I figured to be REALLY original I would make up the longest signature that I could and probably just leave it as one big run on sentence because all that punctuation just takes up way too much space-HH.

    It looks like something from a cave.
    It has the same look as stalagtites or stalagmites.
    Go google a picture of a stalagtite or stalagmite, or cave formations,
    and you will see something that looks JUST LIKE THAT!

    I found it digging about 3 feet down in the swamps of louisiana...along the texas border where the ocean used to run all the way to canada some millions of yrs ago.I got some more strange things from the same area if you would like to see them.

    i don't it might just be my imagination but it looks like a chunk of those rocks you see hanging down in caves

    Cool. I have seen similar formations from lightning strikes hitting sand. The super high temps actually fuse the sand into glass. The resulting formations resemble a small bolt of lightning.
    Just a guess though, sweet find!
