My Best Lead find by far would be a Lead Cannon. Its also one of my favorite finds in 28 years of digging. I dug this 4 Inch long Cannon in Feb. 1991 in a Civil War Camp occupied by both sides. The tube is hollow and lined with the body of a silver writing pen. The hollow touch hole is lined with the pens tip. Every time I look at this relic I think about a Soldier sitting in Camp and taking the time to hand make this Cannon. I still dont know how he got the silver pen pieces inside the Cannon. Pictured in the 1991 Christmas Issue of North South Trader Magazine and in Howard Crouch's Civil War Artifacts Book.

Very nice! Could we see a shot of the mouth of the cannon?
