I'm not sure if this will help in any way, but I wonder if your little (Statue/Doll/Infant of Prague) crown has been stretched out of shape? All of the others like it that I've seen are squatty and/or more rounded looking like the one's pictured below.

It probably is. It had to be pulled from the dirt which was packed around it from being in the ground so long.
