A 'Bob' :occasion14:,
just read about Elizabeth, 'Queen with the Heart of a King', still required study for advanced degrees in political science and international MBAs after 400+ years.
Addressing troops before the defeat of the Spanish Armada:
". . . therefore I am come amongst you, as you see, at this time, not for my recreation and disport, but being resolved, in the midst and heat of the battle, to live and die amongst you all; to lay down for my God, and for my kingdom, and my people, my honour and my blood, even in the dust. I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too, and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any prince of Europe, should dare to invade the borders of my realm . . ."
Amazing History and Coins! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks, not really trying to 'top' anyone, but they do look good together. Thats why I'm a collector, what have the 'sellers' got, other than memories & photos, I can still touch mine & these are the tip of the iceburg (although the 'prettier' tip).

Yep I would have a hard time selling anything that looks good in a display case. It has taken quite some time to fill a case with some decent finds. BTW none of which have any "real" value. But someday.

Here are a few Spanish 1715 fleet silver reales from the beaches of Florida.

Wow Gary! Neat pieces of history! Are those usually found in the water? Awesome find!
