Indian Pot Shards Find
Hey Folks,
While researching something else in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, I almost stepped on some Indian Pot Shards. I looked down, and noticed them as I was walking by. I took a few pics, monumented the spot, and kept going.
Last Friday, I was back out that way, and went back to the spot. I don't know how I missed the rest of them the first time, but within about a 5-6 foot circle, there's about a hundred of them. Maybe five or six pots. In size, they ranged from the diameter of my hand to an inch or so.
I sent the pics to the Park Ranger Email Address, but have yet to hear from them (and no, I won't give out their location, sorry).
Enjoy-

Nice find. You must live pretty close to me.
Good to see other people around San Diego on here.

Hey Kevin,
I'm a little North of you. I live in Laguna Niguel. I've been all over the Anza-Borrego Desert, and the area around Joshua Tree.
Best,
Mike

Re: Indian Pot Shards Find
Hey Mike.
I've been researching some stuff about anza-borrego area outside the state park of course. There's one spot inside the park where I would like to investigate an area just to take photos. It doesn't seem that many people know about this one area at all.I just wanna see if its what I think it is.

Hey Lonewolfe,
No arrowheads, but in pic #2, you can see an obsidian flake.
