Very nice!

The back still has the shiny luster It would grade AU but the front is darker and has a few scratches and a minor ding. Not by me.
XF fine for sure. It may have been lost in that year..

Fantastic coin! Keep in mind that when we assign grades like VF, EF, AU, etc. to a coin, we are talking about the wear of the coin. Other variables like scratches, holes, dings, tone/color, etc. are not taken into account when assigning the grade. (They're absolutely taken into account when considering value of course!) Yes, at the very LEAST, it would be EF, but as there exist many more grades for coins better than EF, I'd definitely call it AU, personally. I think a lot of people get into the habit of thinking that EF is the best grade you can give to a coin. And of course grading is subjective, to a degree. Again, SWEET find no matter how you grade it! 8) Happy new year and HH!

At best I would say AU Details but XF40 with scratches. If slabbed and auctioned off maybe $350 - $ 380
