What are your BEST FINDS for 2006?

It was a very good year for me. Not so much in the coin department, although I had plenty, but the intersting artifacts were numerous.

Here are my favorites, 1836 Large Cent, St. Christopher Medal, Monogramed Coin Silver Spoon circa 1850 From S&E Roberts, of Trenton NJ.

I have had a decent first year! Here is my favorite coin & ring!

I'd have to say these are my best Finds "yet" this year.Relics-That very old Keen kutter knife.(that also looks like my oldest Pop top) , Coins are-2 1876 seated dimes (one a great shape carson city ,the other barely legible), a 03 Barber dime,1883 v nickle, 2 shield nickles (one is 1872 the other not legible) 2 indian heads (04,o6) one buffalo, 3 war nickles, one 42 guarter and,25 wheats. Jewlerey- One Silver heart pendent, 2 silver rings and one gold plated ring and a little sanndle with diamonds all over it (dont know if they are real or not), Oh yea and the Giant wet lump of conterfiet Cash now in the Sheriffs possetion. -1853 three-cent silver piece
-1864 two-cent piece
-4 Barber dimes
-3 Colonial coppers

Found more good relics than good coins this year--usually it is the other way around. Here's the Sword Belt Plate (before and after photos) from January 2006.

2006 WAS A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR ME AND ONE THAT IS GOING TO BE ESPECIALLY HARD TO TOP. MY BEST FINDS WERE:

From old house, old dirt! Was deep and brought up from a trench that was dug, easy find for me, I looked, seen it sticking out of the dirt pile!

Wish they were all that easy to find.

2006 was my first year detecting and the finds sort of reflected that... i have no doubt they will get better as i find better places to hunt........my best finds were as follows:

2005 girls class ring (still pending return)
2 silver rings
2 mercs
2 silver rosies
somewhere around 30 wheats
boy scout knife
some kind of military pin
couple silver belt buckles
8 or 9 tax tokens
and about $50 in clad

this year i plan on making better record of my finds so i can give an exact account for 2007

My best find for 2006 is this ring,1.03k diamond total.Central diamond is 0.53 princess cut.I did appraisals- 3750$.
