very nice collection my oldest is an 1899 cent and sadly to say the only one that has has broke the 1900 barrier i must be doing something wrong

99% of the time the answer to that question can be answered with ...The sites you hunt. Digging the finds is the easy part, putting yourself on the location is the challenge. Funny we see detector debates all the time but no one ever fights about who is the better researcher. That's because the good ones are keeping quiet and just showing people the finds.

Detecting is something that evolves in many ways and if you hang in there usually the good finds do come.

I can't think of any new adjectives to describe those coins. I know it's getting old, but Im still amazed how well preserved those coppers are. Without, getting into prices, which of those coins have the most value? Would I be correct in assuming the 1793 Head Left Liberty Cap Half Cent is near the top of the list?

Bill, I think the coin below it is more valuable, due to its rarity, the 1794 S-19a variety, there are only about 25-30 of them known, most are struck weak and mine is in the middle to top half of those numbers for condition.....
The 1793, I am sure is around a grand, maybe more, maybe less, but I already have much higher quotes on the 1794 Large Cent.

For value finds, I much prefer the early year Large and Half Cents over the Colonials, there is value in the counterfeit colonials, also in the state coins, and growing in leaps and bounds each year, but there is still more of a market for early year large cents.
Spanish silver is so common, not much hope of finding big bucks with that type of silver, now early American silver, YEAH, but boy is it hard to find as evidenced by lack of posts on all forums. ( NOTE: I have never sold any of my coins and do not plan on doing so at this time)
